Baked Macaroni and Cheese recipe
When you are thinking about what you want to cook for dinner, you will want to make sure that you choose something that the whole family will eat and enjoy. That is why you will want to make sure that you keep this great recipe within reach in your kitchen. It will allow you to make an easy meal that will still be enjoyed by everyone. On fact, some will surely claim it as their favorite meal.
Ingredients List:
1 tbsp if vegetable oil
1 16 ounce package of elbow macaroni
9 tbsp butter
1/2 cup of shredded Muenster cheese
1/2 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup of shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup of shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 1/2 cups of half and half
8 ounces of cubed processed cheese food
2 eggs, which have been beaten
1/4 tsp of salt
1/8 tsp of ground black pepper
Directions:
You will want to bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil on your stovetop. Then you will add in the oil and the pasta and cook it for 8 to 10 minutes. Once it is cooked then you are going to drain it well and return it to your cooking pot. Take out a small saucepan and put it over a medium heat. Now you are going to melt 8 tablespoons of butter and stir it into the macaroni. Now you are going to take a large sized bowl and mix together the the Muenster cheese, mild and sharp Cheddar cheeses, and Monterey Jack cheese. Make sure that you mix it well. You will need to preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Add the half and half, 1 1/2 cups of your cheese mixture, the cubed processed cheese food, and the eggs to the macaroni and make sure that you mix together and season with salt and pepper. Take it and transfer it to a lightly greased deep casserole dish. Then you will want to sprinkle the dish with the remaining 1/2 cup of cheese mixture and 1 tablespoon of butter. Put it in the oven and bake it for about 35 minutes or until it is hot and bubbling around the sides of the dish. Once you serve this dish to your family it will quickly become a household favorite!
